How to Draw Mickey Mouse

by | Jul 1, 2024 | 0 comments

Hey everyone and welcome! Today, I’ll be showing you how to draw Mickey Mouse.

Let’s begin in the center of the page with the nose. Start by drawing an oval shape for the nose, curving around from the top left, down to the bottom, and back up to the top. Fill this in with black. Above the nose, draw a small curve for the bridge, then move on to the eyes.

Step 1: Draw the Eyes and Pupils

To draw Mickey’s eyes, start with two large ovals underneath the bridge of the nose, leaving a small gap between them. Begin with the left eye, curving up, around, and back down to the bottom. Repeat this for the right eye, making sure they are symmetrical. Inside each eye, draw a smaller oval for the pupil, positioned towards the inside edge. Fill in the pupils with black.

Step 2: Draw the Smile and Mouth

Below the nose, draw a wide smile, curving from the left side, below the nose, and up towards the right side. Add small curved lines (brackets) at the ends of the mouth. For the bottom lip, draw a curve from the left side, down and up to the right side. Inside the mouth, draw a curved line for the tongue, starting from the left side, curving down to the center, and back up to the right. Fill in the top part of the mouth with black.

Step 3: Outline the Head and Cheeks

Above the eyes, draw a point in the center. From this point, curve up above the left eye and down just above the cheek. Repeat on the right side, curving up and down above the eye. Draw the cheeks by curving out from the sides of the head, around the mouth, and tucking them in below the lip. Next, draw the top of Mickey’s head, forming a half-circle above the brow line, curving around to the other side.

Step 4: Draw the Ears and Body

For Mickey’s ears, draw two large circles on either side of the head. Start just above the left eye, curving around and tucking it into the side of the head. Repeat on the right side. Move down to draw the body. From below the chin, draw a curved line down and out towards the left, and another line down and out towards the right, forming the body. Draw the edge of Mickey’s pants by curving a line from left to right, then add two circles for the buttons.

Step 5: Draw the Arms and Gloves

Starting underneath the head, draw a curve for the arms extending out towards the elbows, then a short line curving inwards. For the gloves, overlap this line with a curve for the top edge, rounding out the edges and pulling them back in. Add the palm by drawing a curve from the top of the glove, then step back and draw another curve for the fingers, tucking it behind the body. Add three short lines on the top of the hand for the glove’s folds.

Step 6: Draw the Legs and Feet

For the legs, draw angled lines down from the bottom of the pants, connecting them with a curve. Draw an oval at the bottom of each leg for the edge of the boots. For the feet, start below the cuffs, curving down and outwards, rounding out the toes, and pulling them back in underneath the cuffs. Repeat for the right foot, tucking it in behind the left foot. Finally, add a tail on the side by drawing a curve from the body, thickening it as it approaches the body, and filling it in black.

And there you have it, Mickey Mouse! I hope you enjoyed today’s lesson. Make sure you subscribe and send us your requests in the comments below. Thanks for watching, and see you again soon!
