Hey there! Today I’m going to show you how to draw Stitch from the Disney animated film Lilo and Stitch.
We’ll start with his face and work our way down to his body. Let’s begin with Stitch’s big nose in the center of his face.
Step 1: Draw the Nose
Start by drawing a large curve for the top of the nose, going from left to right. Then draw an oval shape at the bottom, connecting it back to the top curve. The top of the nose should be a bit flatter. On the left side, draw a nostril by going up and then straight down. Repeat this on the right side. Fill in the nostrils with black.
Step 2: Draw the Wrinkles and Eyes
Above the nose, add two curved lines for the nose wrinkles. The eyes sit lower than halfway down the nose. Start by drawing a point for the left eye and another point for the right eye at the same height. Draw a raindrop-shaped eye curving around the side of the nose. Repeat this for the right eye. Inside each eye, draw a smaller version of this shape for the iris. Add a small circle for the highlight in the top right of each eye and fill the irises in black.
Step 3: Draw the Mouth and Chin
Below the nose, draw a curved line for Stitch’s frown. Start on the left, go below the nose, and then up on the right side. Add a slight curve for the bottom lip. Draw the chin by curving lines from the jawline inward towards the nose, creating a rounded shape below the mouth.
Step 4: Draw the Head and Ears
To draw the top of Stitch’s head, curve a line up and around, leaving a gap in the center. Add three overlapping curves at the top for his hair. Draw the ears starting from the center of the eyes, curving up and outwards. The ears should go high above the head and then curve back down, ending in a point. Add a notch in each ear by drawing two straight lines and then continuing the curve down to the side of the head. Add detail inside the ears by drawing curved lines that taper in towards the head.
Step 5: Draw the Body and Arms
Stitch’s arms will be in different positions. For the left arm, start by drawing a curve from the shoulder down towards the elbow. Continue this line outward for the forearm. Add the fingers by drawing simple curves, overlapping them slightly. Draw the nails by curving lines at the tip of each finger. For the right arm, draw it bent towards the body. Simplify the fingers and add the nails as done on the left side. Draw the forearm and connect it to the body with curves.
Step 6: Draw the Legs and Feet
For the legs, draw an oval shape for each foot, pointing outwards. Add small circles inside these ovals for the foot pads. Draw the nails on each foot by adding curved lines at the tips. To finish the body, draw curves from the hips to the feet, wrapping around the arms and connecting them to the torso.
Step 7: Add Final Details
Finally, add some details to the body by drawing a few more curves to show the knees and the upper part of the legs. Don’t forget to draw the nails on the right hand similar to the left hand.
