by | Jul 1, 2024 | 0 comments

What’s up everyone and welcome to the club! In today’s class, we’re drawing Cristiano Ronaldo.

Step 1: Draw the Eyes

Start with the left eye. Draw a circle from the top, curving down towards the bottom and back up to the top. Leave a gap in between the eyes and draw the same-sized circle on the right. Add a small highlight circle on the top left side of each eye, against the edge of the eye. Fill in the bottom of the eyes in black, going around the highlight circle.

Step 2: Draw the Eyebrows and Nose

Move up to the top and draw the eyebrows. Start on the inside of the left eye, curve up above the eye, come around, and hook back down. Repeat on the right side, lining up the eyebrows. Add thickness to the eyebrows by going up higher in the middle and tapering out towards the end. Fill in the eyebrows in black. Move to the center and draw the bottom edge of the nose, starting on the left, curving down, and then back up. Draw a short curve across the bridge of the nose.

Step 3: Draw the Mouth and Face

Draw the mouth starting on the left, curving down, up in the middle, and then down towards the right. Add a small bracket on the corners of the mouth. Below the mouth, draw a small curve for the lower lip. Move out to the side and draw the lower half of the head, starting from the outside of the left eye, curving down, in just underneath the lip, across, and then back up towards the right. Above the eyebrows, curve out and up towards the edge of the hairline, then in and down towards the center point.

Step 4: Draw the Hair and Ears

Brush the hair over towards the left side by starting from the top corner, curving up, out, and bending back in. Add another layer by stepping out, going up, and bending down towards the center. Continue layering the hair, stepping up, curving around, and down. Close off the side of the head with a curve going around and in towards the top right corner. Draw the ears starting on the left side, curving up, down, and in. Repeat on the right side. Add a fold across the top of the ear with a curve, and add a hook inside the ear.

Step 5: Draw the Body and Number

From the center, draw the collar starting on the left, curving down, and back up. Draw the body by curving out and down towards the hip on both sides. Connect the hips with a curve down the middle and back up. Separate the jersey by stepping down from the top left side, curving down, and over towards the right hip. Draw the Nike symbol on the top left by curving down, angling up, and connecting the lines. On the right, draw the number 7 by drawing two angled lines for the top, tracing out the inside, and closing off the bottom.

Step 6: Draw the Legs and Feet

From the center of the body, step down and draw a curve going up and down. Leave a small gap in the center, then draw the legs curving out and down towards the heels. Round out the bottom of the feet by curving down and up towards the outside. Draw the top of the feet by curving up and down towards the heels, leaving a gap inside. Add a thick sole along the bottom of the feet by tracing the curve above. Draw the bottom edge of the shorts by adding curves and trims. Repeat the number 7 on the bottom right side of the shorts.

Step 7: Draw the Arms

Draw the arms starting halfway along the side of the body, curving out and down towards the wrist on both sides. Draw a small half-circle for the thumb and close off the end with a bracket. Add three fingers starting from the bottom of the thumb, curving down and up around the bracket. Bend the arm back up and in towards the head. Separate the sleeve by drawing a curve halfway along the inside of the arm. Add a wristband on the right wrist and an armband on the sleeve.

Step 8: Final Details and Coloring

Add final details such as the jersey’s trim and any additional markings. Finish by signing your artwork and adding a splash of color.

And that’s it! There you have it, a cartoon illustration of Cristiano Ronaldo. I hope you enjoyed today’s lesson. If you did, please make sure you subscribe because I’m posting new lessons every single day. Thanks for watching, and I’ll see you again soon!
